Corruption Crusaders Campaign - Youth Supports Hazare

Corruption Crusaders Campaign - Youth Supports Hazare

Corruption... we have spoken about it before.. but today i will talk about the most amazing procession to support the Cause ..
Today the Peace Club , launched it Corruption Crusaders Campaign. A campaign aimed at raising awareness amongst the youth and showcasing the power of democracy by openly protesting against corruption and supporting the modern age Gandhi , Anna Hazare. The 73 year old has been fasting for over 80 hours now and has proved that will power is the answer to every problem.
The Peace Club feels proud that it could support such an important cause through the procession organized today in Chembur. With a participation of over 60 people, it was the most enthusiastic procession where the youth took control and gave voice to the emotions of a nation of 1.21 billion. We feel proud to voice the opinion of the public and become vital parts of a vibrant democracy. More that anything this is the answer to those critics who question the purpose of Democracy and most importantly a message to our leader... "Don't underestimate the will of the people, we have done it before and we can do it again..."

As time passes, the moment of victory is coming closer with the government bending under the public pressure. The most amazing feeling was when people were shouting slogans, "IPL chodo Anna Hazare ko Support karo!"
This shows that there is still hope and till people like Anna lead movements , organizations like the Peace Club will continue to give voice to the nations enthusiasm and emotion.
Join the Peace Club on www.peaceclub.wetpaint.com and take part in the movement of the youth.. voice your opinion... now

Fight corruption - Support Hazare

Corruption is an international issue, its ingrained into the human systems .. and specially in the Indian system.
Its time we raise a voice and support the cause of fighting corruption. I know what you are thinking how can we do anything to fight corruption at the national level. Well there are many ways , but today I'm going to focus on mainly one.
THE LOKPAL BILL.
the government has taken for consideration a bill on corruption, a lack luster bill, that's lacks power, that intends to give the corrupt more power and deprives the citizen of his democratic right to chose his LOKPAL, the man who will fight against the corrupt. At present a committee headed by Sharad Pawar is looking into the bill, what irony for a man like Pawar who himself owns thousands of acres of land in Maharashtra to be heading a bill on corruption.
therefore Social Activist Anna Hazare has decided to go on a fast unto death to fight for the people's right to elect their JAN LOKPAL to ensure the corrupt are reigned in including Judges, Bureaucrats , politicians , and even national leaders (including the PM ) . All they are demanding is that their voice be heard, and the people's views be taken into consideration by the government on the issue of the LOKPAL bill.
Today i request all of you to join in, fight against corruption, I'm not asking you to fast or go to Delhi to fight the government, but I'm asking you to support the cause from this blog, comment , support with your names and i will try that you comments are included in petitions to the government and our voice reaches out to the people to whom it matters.
SUPPORT US , BRING THE CHANGE !

Youth! Whats in the Name ?

To a Young world,
what does the word youth stand for, what are the criteria to be called as youth? Is there a definition for the term youth ?
all these are not merely questions , they are the foundations of something that we all call ourselves part of. The youth. so after all what is the youth ? this is how i define the term youth. to me youth stands for the new way of thinking, the new ideology, the wish to revolt, the wish to question (very post modernist), the power of achievement and the house of ideas. Anybody who proves to have all of these attributes is the youth.
But is this the only definition of  Youth , certainly not! the youth today means the young the ones who have the power to change and the ones who have the determination (to carry forward the legacy of the Human Race).
its not like we are the first generation of the youth but its just that the expectation of bringing about a change is at its zenith when it comes to this generation of youth.
the most important question is are we ready for change? who is going to bring about the change ? What is change? these once again are questions that one can have diverging view points on , after all each one of us is different. if one observes more carefully, this is also the generation that will find it the easiest to bring about the change, because we are the first generation of the youth that has the benefits of the information revolution.
but something stops us from putting our feet forward and that one thing is the cut throat competition of a market dominated world influenced by politics, power and dynasty.
But i believe it is organizations like the Peace Club that have the potential to enable this revolution, to optimize the change and to maximize the determination. its time we got up, its time we get over our slumber, its time , its time to awaken the youth.

What do you think of H.R.D Minister Kapil Sibal's education reforms (making 10th boards optional)

Mr Sibal's initiative is good but we need to create uniformity by either totally scrapping board exams for all boards (not only c.b.s.e.) . this will reduce the academic pressure on students... but all efforts must be made to ensure that the level of competitiveness among students is maintained ........
